when hes holding that big bottle of pop, the rest of the video clicks into place...hes had too many E-numbers. no but seriously, im always one for honest feedback, and bein truthful, this tune worries me.i KNOW people are listening to it age 20/21 etc. thinkin 'yeah sick flow,etc..' but what about the 13/14 yr olds listenin to it? "bring out the gat start gunbutting him...swing that bat to your face,it will get smashed, swing it,stamp, stamp on your head,no movement your on the floor." i do not believe that violence occurs because of music, its probably the other way round sometimes. but i do strongly believe that if some kid idolises certain artists and they are coming with lyrics like that, then they are goin to be encouraged to act a certain way, and that certain way is angry and violent. i wonder if danny and ricky preddie listened to armshouse lyrics, cos i dun kno it werent beres hammond.......
If he was really reppin' LDN he would have chosen a cricket bat. I hate these fake yankie cock sucking phonies. Isn't about time Britain got "Great" again through violence, beatin' down on the weak and promoting anger, physical supremacy and thugishness?
Thats a fukin shit tune anyway.
i cant believe these peeple are tryin 2 par the reload king
read the first comment.they aint tryin to par him, it aint a personal attack.do u even know who danny and ricky preddie are?
can i ask your opinion chantelle?
oooh come on or are you scared!!
come on fidz speak up....
It's the same arguement that can, and does, frequently get applied to grime and hip hop lyrics. While myself along with many of you know the difference between right and wrong, we'll enjoy a track for the flow/vibe etc... there's always that concern about influence on those of a less sound/aware mindset. What's of more relevance, perhaps, is whether you believe songs like these are just a product and reflection of an environment or the cause and effect. There's also the idea that lyricism is an artform. Take for instance the way Plan B relays social commentary from different character perspectives, what's to say the likes of Tempa T aren't doing the same but in a more indirect, less intelligent way?
Whatever we think people won't stop making these tracks and I don't think complete extinction of such tracks will stop people like Danny and Ricky. There's a much bigger issue. Lack of good role models/father figures is just one thing that has led, and continues to cause the mindset adopted by many males from a similar background. Given guidance, parental control, a decent eduction, opportunities, greater prospects, self-esteem etc... is what's needed more than anything. It's quite literally like a jungle out there!
people feel angry that they havnt had guidance and a decent education and this is where the less intelligient armshouse lyrics have the most effect.they are angry at daddy for leaving, or mummy for taking drugs, and relate to mad lyrics because its what they have got inside of them.its a never ending cycle of bullshit, and until it stops, we will always have gun lyrics and violence to rarrrtid
jus coz he's got a baseball bat doesn't mean he's one of those "fake yankie cock sucking phonies", cricket is shit
